DIFF EYEWEAR
DIFF makes charitable designer eyewear, for each pair sold DIFF donates a pair of reading glasses to someone in need.
DELIVERABLES:
Product Photography, Editorial Photography, Retouching
THE CHALLENGE
DIFF Eyewear came to Small Green Door through a recommendation based on our technical lighting expertise and capabilities for full-set construction. Our 5,000 sq. ft. studio is fully modular with a wood shop, kitchen, hair and make-up room, and cyclorama for a large-scale on-model shoot.
IMPLEMENTATION
DIFF Eyewear wanted to center the 2018 Valentine's Day campaign around self-love. The DIFF art director hosted a casting call at our Commerce studio in order to find a range of models that could represent self-love for all kinds of bodies. For the shoot we built three 4 x 10 ft. pastel pink flats and used a variety of mirrors to accentuate the product. Out of focus flowers, soft lighting, and simple styling allowed accentuated the models' unique looks as well as the sunglasses.
Since the campaign was centered around self-acceptance, we chose not to retouch the models and instead focused retouching towards perfecting the coloring.
